Obituary for Pauline Adams

Pauline Adams wa born October 1, 1939 in Courtland, Alabama to the late Paul Andrew Owens and Sadie Goode Owens Benjamin. She was the youngest of two. She was baptized in 1952 at the age of 13 at Wheeler Baptist Church in Wheeler, Alabama.
She recieved her early education in the Courtland City Schools, moving to Cleveland, Ohio in 1956 to finish high school and graduate from East High in 1957. When she moved to Cleveland she stayed with her paternal Aunt Corlodia Mitchum, who was like a mother to her, Uncle samuel Sr. and son Samuel Jr. In Cleveland she joined Mt. Heron Baptist Church on March 30, 1958 under the pastorate of Rev. Dr. R.L. Fuller, were she served as a faithful member and Deaconess. In Cleveland, Pauline met her best friend D.O. Adams who would become her husband . They married December 29th, 1961 at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church. To this loving union 4 sons and a daughter were born.
Pauline was a loving sister, wife and mother who was decicated to her children and family. She started working at University Hospitals when she was in high school until 1962. She then went to work at Samuels Jr.'s famiy store for over 40 years. She was active in the community working for the board of elections and her church with the media ministry until her health would no longer allow her to serve. She was part of a bowling league and loved spending time with her family.
Pauline Adams departed this life on August 26, 2019 to be with the Lord surrounded by family in Atlanta Ga. She leaves to cherish her memory; a devoted and loving husband D.O. Adams four loving sons Deon ( Song Mi) Adams, Darryl (Angela) Adams, Douglas (Manee) Adams, Derrick ( Carmen) Adams and her loving and devoted daughter Danette Adams; her bonus daughter Vivian Cobbs; Grandchildren Demetrius (Valerie) Adams, Danny Adams, Dante Adams, Darryl Adams Jr., Diamond Adams, Rah-Sheen Adams Sr., Douglas Adams II, Nyikeyra Adams, Donitia Adams, Dashania Adams, Derrick Adams II, and Adrian ( Sarah) Ware. Great greandchildren Mar Shaun Weatherington, MyKael Weatherington, Dez'Marie Adams, Deo Adams, Dior Adams, Dallas Troutman, Rah-Sheen Adams Jr, Rah- IER Adams, Rah-Vier Adams, Demarian Adams, Dorrian Adams, De'Aira Adams, Mary Ware, Rebecca Ware, Katie Ware, Abraham Ware, one loving and devoted sister Doris ( Eliga) Diggs, sister in laws Juanita Frazier, Annie Sanders, Mollie Trundle and Faye Vaughn, nieces Minnie (Gary) Redus, Carolyn (Anthony) Mason, newphews Connell Diggs and Bobby ( alice) Diggs. Leatryce Bankston, a dear cousin. Allya, Shawn and Aubri Austin who became a specail part of her family when she moved to Atlanta...
Pauline leaves a host of other loving family and friends.
Four of her favorite verses were the Beatitudes in Matthew 5:7-10 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart; for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers; for they shall be called childrend of God. Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness sake for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
