The Reverend Dr. Earnest Kelley, Sr. was born April 22, 1926 in Tuskegee, Ala. to the late Mitchell Kelley and Lucille Kelley-Tolbert ( Echols).
He leaves to cherish is memory his beloved wife of 62yrs, Dorothy; his daughters, Annie Ruth Lenard and Doris Elaine ( Rev. Leroy) McCreary; 3 grandsons; 2 granddaughters; 3 great grandsons; 2 great granddaughters; 2 sisters; and a host of fieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Life Story for Reverend Dr. Earnest Kelley, Sr.

Reverend Dr. Earnest Kelley, Sr. died July 13, 2007 at the age of 81.

In 1944 he moved to Cleveland, Ohio were he joined Mt Hermon under the leadership of the Rev Dr. R. L. Fuller. In 1945 he was united in holy matrimony to Dorothy Varner. To this union three children were born. He worked at Montana Flour Mill from 1944 until he retired. When Pastor Kelley was called to the ministry he served as an assistant pastor with the New Mt. Zion Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Carey McCreary. He was ordained as a minister on May 1, 1968. In 1969 he was called to lead St. Mark Baptist Church.
